2. Services Provided

Harrogate Data Recovery provides data recovery services for various storage devices including hard drives, solid state drives, RAID arrays, and other data storage media. Our services include:

  • Free initial assessment and diagnosis
  • Data recovery from physically damaged or logically corrupted storage devices
  • Free collection service within our coverage area
  • Secure data return on new storage media

3. No Data, No Fee Policy

Our "No Data, No Fee" policy means that you will only be charged if we successfully recover your data. The initial assessment is provided free of charge. If we determine that data recovery is not possible or unsuccessful, you will not be charged for the recovery attempt. You may be responsible for return shipping costs if applicable.

4. Pricing and Payment

After the initial assessment, we will provide you with a fixed-price quote for the data recovery service. The quote will include:

  • The cost of data recovery services
  • Any necessary replacement parts or media
  • Estimated timeframe for completion

Payment is due upon successful completion of data recovery and return of your data. We accept various payment methods including bank transfer, credit/debit cards, and business accounts.

5. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the storage device and data loss situation
  • Confirm that you are the legal owner of the device and data, or have authorization to request recovery
  • Not request recovery of any illegal, stolen, or unauthorized data
  • Make backup copies of recovered data immediately upon receipt
  • Notify us of any special handling requirements or security concerns

6. Limitation of Liability

While we make every effort to recover your data successfully, data recovery services involve inherent risks. We cannot guarantee successful recovery in all cases. Our liability is limited as follows:

  • Our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid for our services
  • We are not liable for any consequential, indirect, or incidental damages
  • We are not responsible for the value or content of your data
  • We are not liable for any existing damage to storage devices prior to our service

You acknowledge that data recovery attempts may, in rare cases, result in further damage to the storage device.

7. Confidentiality and Data Security

We treat all customer data with strict confidentiality. All staff members are bound by confidentiality agreements. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data during the recovery process. Upon completion of services, all customer data is either returned to you or securely destroyed according to your instructions.

8. Abandoned Property

If you fail to collect your storage device within 90 days of notification that recovery is complete, or if you fail to respond to our communications, the device may be considered abandoned property. We reserve the right to securely dispose of abandoned devices after providing reasonable notice.

9. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel the service at any time before we begin the recovery process at no charge. If cancellation occurs after work has commenced, you may be charged for work completed up to that point, subject to our "No Data, No Fee" policy.

10. Warranty Disclaimer

Our services are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that data recovery will be successful or that all data will be recovered. We do not warrant the functionality of storage devices after recovery attempts.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
